29 degrees Centigrade, no snow, and a little cooler in the nighttime, blue sky: this is my most favorite time in Thailand. Could imagine that it is the perfect time for vacationing for Europeans. But reports are they're not coming. Why? Just look at the exchange rate! The Euro isn't that good, just 47 baht you'll get for on Euro. Though the hotels and bars are running special offers to keep above the waterline, tourists just ain't coming. The talk of the economic crisis far from being over made obviously a lot stay at home.
But the restaurants in Korat that usually live of the permanent vacationers, the retirees, the expats aren't flourishing either. Did necessity change people's lifestyles to a rediscovery of family life and television watching? Or are they all spending the days behind the keyboard, chatting with friends far away?
